A glimpse on Aylin LangreuterJuly 30th, 2011 | Posted by in Contemporary Art
Aylin Langreuter is a German contemporary artist, who studied in Munich. She is living and working in Milan. Her sculptures show a lot of diversity in the use of material and the choice of her topics/ issues. I want to put a focus on her work with glass – why? Just because I really love her work with the material glass. Technically I found it interesting and I am fan of the interaction of glass with the sunlight. The shimmer of the sun rays that go through it and the projection on of them on the walls – it’s so simple and so elegant! I have to mention that her glass sculptures are HUGE! several meters – Can you imagine how difficult it must have been to produce them? I would love to assist a session in her atelier…
If you want to find out more about her work you could get for example her book: “FUNCTION FOLLOWS FAIRYTALE”
