a social project: KHUNU.com

April 25th, 2013 | Posted by aroescheisen in Fashion | My Diary | YOU & me - (Comments Off)

Today an entry about a social project: Khunu. It’s all about Yak wool and Tibet!
Their products are designed as a social project supporting Tibetan people who collect the Yak wool. So everything I like: projects with human content and over all amazing products!

“For centuries man and yak have survived in rare harmony against some of the world’s harshest environments. Wool from yaks is central to this relationship, providing warmth, shelter and comfort during Tibet’s fierce winters.
Collected from the far reaches of the Tibetan plateau by Nomadic herders, yak will is softer and armer than merino and more durable than cashmere, meaning every Khunu garment is warm, comfortable, ethical and distinctive.” (Khunu)

I really like the traveler sort of diaries on their page: when people share their world trip via and with the Khunu product: Traveling with a Wrap:
(…)Filmmaker and yoga instructor Jodi Smith shares her adventures with what is probably the most travelled travel wrap. I am rarely in one place. If I’m not making a film I’m teaching yoga or travelling to experience the unusual and inspiring(…).
Read on on their homepage!

Check it out! I am gonna’ take mine on my world trip now! Thanks Julian and thanks Andrei!

I love this German Painter, that nowadays lives and works in Paris. His artistic vision and translation, his collages and subtile propositions, his unique perception, …
I am even more happy to have the honor to be his muse for some of his upcoming work.
Work in Progress:)

I was snowboarding the whole day in my home mountains, where I grew up. Gosh I missed that so much!
Just wanted to share a pic with you from the view that I had at 8 o’clock in the morning – standing ALONE on top of a mountain peek, with fresh powder snow & some sun rays that came out to say hello. Is there anything better?
Thank you nature for this wonderful & peaceful moment*

V.I.C Art Project

Like every other artist that participated in this project, I received my VIC – (Very Important Chair) Avatar. Number 41.
With the whole background story that I know of workers that aren’t allowed to sit down to eat, that have to work in conditions without human dignity and THIS in the 21st century!; with all the difficult social circumstances in Rumania and the strange political reasons that closed down the fabric and KICKED out 2.200people on the street from today until 2morrow…..
I was deeply touched by the VIC Art project.

My VIC chair is a message to all those who feel kicked out of life to continue with faith, joy, gratitude, compassion, love & light. I carved these into my book of life – my skin – and I transmit via this chair my light and love to you.
The steel chains are an homage to the workers of the fabric, the hard conditions, the difficult political & social situation in Rumania. As the workers couldn’t sit down – well you cant sit down on my VIC chair either. It is turning around, moving, like the circle of life. You can turn it and from every angle it looks different – like life.
What would life be without laughter?
I even see the poorest people on the street smiling and laughing. Their life light is still on. My Vic life chair is on as well…with the little bit of humor and laughter that it deserves…!

So tell me my dear VITA (the Latin word for “Life”)….
….”CAN YOU KICK IT”? – can you kick life?
….
“YES YOU CAN!”

I hope my VIC Chair will touch the heart of the people. Moreover I am happy to offer all the amount of the sale into the charity project to build up working ateliers for young people in Rumania to give them an option & support for their future.

The first exhibtion with around 40VIC chairs will take place on the 7th of december 2012 @ the BARIL gallery: http://www.baril.ro/, directed by Sorin Neamtu at the « Fabrica de Pensule » in the village of Cluj-Napoca (Rumania).
There are more dates on the plan, for example one in March 2013 in France, Paris @ the Atelier Z : http://www.atelier-z.org/site/ – directed by Christiane Peugeot

Flavor mag x Fashion week x me

October 5th, 2012 | Posted by aroescheisen in Fashion | My Diary | YOU & me - (Comments Off)

A little review of some persons I met during the Fashion week in Paris. I filmed everything with the iPhone… From designers, to models, to celebrities – they all got the same tiny question:
“What is the Flavor (hello Flavor Mag:), who sent me out during the Fashion week) or the taste of the Fashion week in Paris for you?!”

Here a few answers:
(Some people “played” the game and were really funny..others..well I tried to know at least what they like to eat:)hehe

The Model Erin Wasson, did is short but brought it to the point. Apparently she was on party fire the day before…mmh so therefore the never ending love story with her chewing gum:) We met at the Italian embassy during the Tod’s presentation.

The musician & producer Woodkid alias Yoann Lemoine at the Castelbajac show:

The son of Renzo Rosso (Diesel brand): Stefano Rosso
He is a really funny and nice guy! I had the chance to be invited to a tiny little Diesel dinner…The wine was delicious!

(&please take a look at the background…ass Kicking/ kissing!?:)

Camille Rowe (after Erin Wasson), who is the face of the new Zadig & Voltaire campaign. She is really really cute and down to earth and we had a little chat after the questioning! Definitely a cute girl!

& with it:
Cecile Bonstrom (Art Director of Zadig & Voltaire). She could even be the face of their campaign! I really think she is a beautiful woman!:
(more about the Zadig & Voltaire show: http://www.anninaroescheisen.com/me-you/my-diary/fashion-report/ )

The French Designer Jitrois has one assocication with the French Fashion week. It’s yellow and kind of sweet…
watch it:)

And honestly he presented several amazing leather pieces in his newest collection that took my breath away! Check them out! Here two of them that I felt in love with!

The Russian Model Anna Selezneva at the Anthony Vaccarello show, while drinking some hot water!??

and Anja Rubik – (probably not the most interesting one) – but I put it up here to show you girls that we all look in a way the same with no make up on! So stop complexing!

The French actress Géraldine Nakache that I met at as well at the Tod’s presentation at the Italian embassy. She seems really down to earth:)

Ariane Massenet, from the French TV Show: “Le Grand Journal”; I think this woman is just great! Fresh and authentic. I got to talk to her at the Italian embassy as well:

Nadège Winter, at the Timberland party. I heart this woman. Sorry my arm wasn’t that long…so I felt like cutting our faces into halves:)

My Flavor?
My Flavor of this Fashion Week in Paris was this:

Thank you Flavor Magazine, especially Estelle and Anne Sophie!
